Drama for Young People

We deliver drama with kindness to help your children to thrive!

For children, thriving revolves around building key social skills to help them navigate the world we live in.

Our Youth Programme can help your child in a number of ways:

  • Increased Confidence
Our nurturing approach means even if your child is very shy, we will soon build up their confidence.
  • Improved Communication
Participating in new games and pretend-play can help contribute to your child’s developing vocabulary. They are encouraged to express themselves both verbally and through facial expression and body language; to help make them better communicators.
  • Increased Empathy
By encouraging pupils to ‘act out’ a range of emotions in a safe and supportive environment, your child will be better able to understand their feelings and develop empathy for others.
  • Encouraging Imagination and Play
In an increasingly tech-dominated world, drama classes and workshops will help your child to use their imaginations to play and have fun.
  • Nuturing Friendships
Drama can create strong bonds between pupils as they laugh, learn and grow together.
  • Improved Concentration
Pupils are encouraged to listen to each other’s ideas and thoughts and to take turns. These activities allow your child to recognise the value of concentration.
  • Improved Co-operation
Classes and workshops involved working together in pairs, small groups and as a class. Pupils quickly realise that to get the best out of sessions, cooperation is key!
  • Physical Development
Classes and workshops are always fun and active – with physical theatre, mime, games and dance all helping your child will gain mastery over their growing body.
  • Encouraging Exploration
Drama helps your child to explore different themes and will introduce them to a variety of real and imaginary situations, sparking their interest in the world in which they live and making them a more inquisitive (and interesting!) person.
  • Increased Creativity
Through improvisation and pretend play, your child will develop their creative skills as they lead the direction of scenes and respond imaginatively to a range of made-up situations and scenarios.

Our Youth Programme includes:

Drama Lessons – weekly lessons culminating in an end of term exam, class performance or school showcase.

Holiday Workshops – five days of drama-based games and activities culminating in a finale performance.
