ONLINE Adult Short Courses

Isolation blues? Zoom quizzed out? Looking to try something new? Join us for one of our adult short courses!

Classes are run over Zoom, and include an element of working as a group, working alone and receiving individual, personalised tuition. They all culminate in a filmed performance which is uploaded to The Dramatis Online Stage (a YouTube account) so participants can share with family and friends or use for future auditions.

Building a Character
Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th June
This fun and interactive three-day workshop taught participants how to build a character from scratch by:

  • Exploring the voice itself, its physical apparatus; how we can position our tongues, teeth and mouths to change the sound of a character.
  • Exploring different speech patterns; using tone, intonation, and the melody of the voice to best effect.
  • Learning how to use pause and pace within a speech.
  • Playing around with the body language and movement to grow our characters.
