With Lockdown 2 meaning children can no longer socialise with their friends after school or take part in their usual extra-curricular activities, we’ve introduced online Dramatis Playdates!

These one-hour sessions bring together four friends via Zoom for a playdate led by us. Children are given a series of drama-based games and exercises to play with their friends whilst parents enjoy an hour to themselves as their kids are being (productively) entertained!

Playdate format
Icebreakers (so Suzy can get to know the friendship group)
Introducing the story and plot
Introducing the characters (with drama based exercises to explore character development)
How to Act (exercises on drama technique)
Devising a Scene (free play as children work on their own scene)
Show and Tell (performing and feedback from Suzy)
Performance (final recorded performance that children can show their families)

Playdates are for friendship groups of four children aged 5 to 11. Younger age groups are themed around ‘Wonderful Walliams’ (exploring stories by David Walliams) while older groups are based around ‘Riotous Roald’ (and texts by Roald Dahl).

£30 for a one hour Playdate (for four children)

Once the paying parent has paid and confirmed the email addresses of all four children, Dramatis will send the Zoom link and look after everything from there!
