“I’ve been going to Suzy’s adult drama group for over a year now. We have a lot of fun. Suzy is very encouraging and knowledgeable but there’s no pressure.”

“I get so much out of my weekly classes! I was super anxious on Wednesday but woke up on Thursday morning and thought to myself; “ahh, it’s Dramatis tonight; that’ll help!” It provides a proper switch off, I love it!”

“Great fun. Play silly games, have a laugh, read a script, meet new people, make new friends and generally just have fun. Love it.”

“Act Your Age is the adult class in which Suzy uses fun ideas to bring out our creativity. It’s a great way to express the week’s emotions – I’m only 22 there!”

“I’ve so enjoyed it for many reasons. It’s been great to ‘meet’ new drama lovers, to participate in and learn a bit of Oscar Wilde”.

“I’ve never really done anything like this before. I love reading and I love Oscar Wilde; it was great to be able to take part in this and I look forward to the next time. I think this is such a brilliant idea, especially for people like myself who have only recently been able to stop shielding. It gives us something to look forward to in these uncertain times.”

“My daughter has been enjoying Dramatis for nearly a year having first got into it at the workshops last summer and had a great time in her part as the Bearded Lady in The Greatest Showman! The children all have lots of fun in the weekly sessions doing warm up games and activities, script rehearsals, mime, improv, portraying emotions and all sorts! Suzy puts a lot of energy and enthusiasm into her well organised sessions and my daughter used to not like the idea of performing in front of others but now she loves it! She feels more confident, she’s learning acting, creativity and team working skills, enjoys meeting up with other children with the same passion and wants acting to become part of her life when she’s older! She especially likes the busy bees game flying around and the detective games! Looking forward to seeing the next performance! Great work on this Suzy you make the kids very happy!”

“Honey was so excited about coming back to drama face to face today. Also, thank you for the card we received over Easter. We loved receiving the feedback and seeing how Honey is doing. She loves your classes. You have really helped her come on with her confidence since she has started and we really appreciate all you do.”

“That made me cry at least twice! So proud of Megan, that took guts! You’ve definitely brought out a beautiful new side to her. I swear it’s like looking at a different child! Thank you so much, I can’t wait to see how she progresses”
Parent of a Holiday Workshop Pupil

“My daughter has been coming to Dramatis for about a year now and absolutely loves it. She has made friends and learnt lots of skills. She absolutely adores Suzy who runs the classes as she seems to work with their individual strengths and develop their weaknesses.”

“Suzy brings such enthusiasm and energy to every lesson. She has a wonderful way of encouraging her students to be the best they can be and to step outside their comfort zones. Great confidence builder!”

”Suzy is a fantastic teacher and I enjoy her lessons a lot. She has taught me new drama skills and I feel a lot more confident performing now. She is the best drama teacher I have ever had”
Pupil (Aged 9)

Drama is amazing especially if you’re not the most confident person with expressing your voice. I feel like drama really helps you with that because you get to be anyone you want”.
Sophie (Aged 11)

“Suzy worked with an enthusiastic group of children aged between 9 – 11. She was keen to involve them in the script-writing process as well as developing their dramatic expression. The children were able to improvise and the script was developed with their interests in mind. Suzy has a natural rapport with young people and I would recommend her as a drama teacher.”

”Thank you for all your hard work. Our young people loved the whole process and were really involved in it all. As you know, one of the girls started off very wobbly, not wanting to do it, so to see her at the end, performing and full of confidence was lovely!”

”Having trained drama teachers for forty years, I have no hesitation in recommending Suzy as a teacher. She has an excellent relationship with her students and is particularly successful at encouraging younger pupils. Her enthusiasm for drama is infectious and motivates her classes.”

”Suzy has been instrumental in helping our daughter gain confidence in speaking and meeting new people. By having one to one lessons our daughter has learnt how to play imaginatively and broaden her scope of interest in role play and reading. We are so happy she has developed in such a creative manner”
